I ask because I've got an interview there later this afternoon (London office) and would like to know more about the company culture from people who've actually worked there, and not just what my recruitment consultant is telling me. I've heard all sorts of horror stories about long hours and overtime (standard hours I'm told are 8 or 8:30 - 6, but I'm going for a support role so overtime should be fairly limited for me) crazy pressure and a real dog-eat-dog ethos. Is it really like that?

Even in a support role you’ll be expected to work as many hours as the job requires, and overtime is usually unpaid.
They should clarify the expected hours in the interview.
Good luck !

It's a 6-month contract paid by the hour initially so I'd be paid for overtime. That's not really the point though

I worked there for 5 yrs. you will be expected to perform at a top level, no excuses for slacking. You will need to answer all your emails etc promptly. Hours depend on your role, will you be front or back office?
