To think this was a rubbish day

DD and I have been in all day, she's been up since 5 and we have both been very tired. We cancelled on friend's invite to the park. AIBU to think that she's had a crappy day - we've played in the garden a little, made lunch together, played with toys, but largely have been on sofa together with iPad/CBeebies/phone (me). We rarely have whole days in, even if it's just a potter to the shops we will get out so I feel like I've been a lazy mum today.

Sounds fine to me. Like you said, its rare that you do it. Children don't need to be constantly doing something exciting. I think it can be beneficial to occasionally have a lazy, chilled out day in

Sounds like she's had fresh air and exercise and you've done things with her - there are worse days! It's over now anyway so don't dwell. A quiet day when you're both tired is fine.

Thanks both. I think the tiredness made me question today but in reality DD has been happy enough. Tomorrow is a new (and not a totally in the house) day.

I think it's perfect to do every now and again- boredom is important!
