To be suspicious- another MLM?!

I've been going to the gym. Two spin classes, two body pump classes a week, cardio on my own once a week, Sit ups a few days a week. Running when I can (20 miles in 2 days over the weekend).

I've been eating better and following mfp.

So then, when I see a post saying this, and pictures where the poster looks AMAZING, I think... what am I doing wrong? I've lost nothing, my clothes are still too tight etc.

Anyway, the quote. It's another MLM isn't it?

Someone said this to me the other day: “I could never do your system because I like food too much.”

🤔Well, you know what? I ❤LOVE food too!! I would never subscribe to a lifestyle that required me to cut out whole food groups or give up food. We cook delicious meals but still eat out at restaurants and, yes, I even indulge sometimes in pizza🍕, sushi🍣, pasta🍝, wine🍷!

Since beginning this program I have changed my eating habits and I actually eat 5-6 times a day. 👍

I have at least one shake a day. Sometimes they replace traditional meals and sometimes I use them as my snacks (depends on the day, work, exercise etc... and depends on your goals). The other times I eat I have a normal healthy meal and snacks inclusive of protein, fruit, healthy carbs etc in between.

Initially, I was surprised by how much I ate but still lost⬇ weight and ⬇inches!!

So, if you’re someone who thinks this program might not be for you because you don’t want to give up food, I promise you that you don’t have to! 👌👌👌👌👌

Eh?

Justmuddlingalong · 30/04/2018 21:05

Yip. MLM.

SeafrontDreams · 30/04/2018 21:05

Yep MLM, someone i know posted the same message on their social media - Isagenix I think.

GertrudeCB · 30/04/2018 21:06

Is it Herbalife by any chance?

OrangeKettle · 30/04/2018 21:08

It seems to be working for this person, they've lost loads. Why am I doing it the hard way?!

(I hate MLMs but resent that I'm working hard for no results and this person is finding it effortless).

It's basically FL but for weightloss then, if they're all posting the same. Def not for me.

Gertrude, the person I quoted hasn't actually said. But a pp above says a different company.

Yep will be an MLM. If they won’t name the company in their posts you can be sure it’s dodgy!

GeekyWombat · 30/04/2018 21:13

Anything that involves ridiculous amounts of non-smiley emojis I always assume is an MLM.

Was it Juice Plus?

Glumglowworm · 30/04/2018 21:26

Definitely MLM, avoid like the plague

Exercise more and healthy balanced eating are the tried and tested way to lose weight and maintain it.

Butteredparsn1ps · 30/04/2018 21:34

I overheard some school Mum's discussing an MLM. I've lost 2/3/4 pounds in 5 days type stuff.

I kept walking...

Sparklesocks · 30/04/2018 21:37

If they are vague about the company/details (unless you message) yet very positive its usually a MLM

Singlenotsingle · 30/04/2018 21:39

Try Slimming World, the only thing that works for me (and no, I don't run a SW group)
