So iv had the mirena implanted a month ago due to heavy periods and not wanting anymore kids but iv been bleeding ever sense some days are heavier and have past one or two big clots that looked like liver.. iv had a scan at the hospital and they said it is were it is supposed to be im on cyklokapron to help with the bleeding..just wondering does this ever stop or should I just get it out? Iv also heard bleeding can be alot worse after getting it pulled.. I dunno what to do really fed up of this constant bleeding

Mine took 6 weeks to stop but then no bleeding at all ever. I'm on my third one and haven't even had an issue when I've had a new one in.

Keep the faith a couple more weeks.

I hate to say this but I had a Mirena fitted last July & still bleed every 2-3 days. It’s very light but very annoying as I never know when it’s going to happen.
Hope yours stops soon. I’m going to persist for another couple of months

Mine was a nightmare at first. Seriously wanted to pull the blasted thing out. Bleeding heavily all the time.

But all the documentation says "may cause irregular bleeding initially" and online lots of people said to wait for 6 months before deciding (as long as no pain- if there's pain fuck that shit)

So I gritted my teeth and waited and the bleeding took about 3 months to stop. But then it stopped 100%. So it's brilliant now. Tough beginning though.
