To be fed up with the parties.

There’s some kind of multi occupancy house that backs onto mine and now summer has started (even though it’s been grey and drizzly all day today) they are having yet another garden party. I’m not an ogre, I don’t mind people celebrating now and then but it’s been every weekend (and some weeknights) for a month now and will only get worse as the weather improves.

If it was just music it would be one thing but now they’re all drunk and singing along (badly) and shouting at each other to be heard over the music. It’s gone midnight and I just want to sleep.

My sympathies. Hope you got some sleep in the end. I can't offer any any advice, but just wanted to say you are not alone. We have a similar issue with neighbours who are lovely to speak to, but who had a fondness for parties and late night singalongs. They've been loads better recently, but last Saturday it was 4.30am before it went quiet. We are now planning on moving house.

You can contact noise abatement at the council or dial 101 as a non-emergency (I think - different answers according to my quick Google search).
