To wonder when the snot will stop

We have a two and a half year old and a one year old and I'm pretty certain that for every single day between now and about last September, one (or, more usually, both) of them has had a streaming snotty nose. I look at other children and their noses don't seem to be tiny machines solely devoted to the generation of mucus, they seem to manage to give it a rest occasionally at least. Is it normal for them to be quite so constantly snotty? We must have single-handedly caused the destruction of several rainforests with the amount of tissues we've used. When will it end? How do I stop my son blowing his nose on my trousers?

Could they be allergic to something, do you think, OP? They sound like me if a cat dares to come within a 5 mile radius of me!

My dd is like this. She's 9 now. She has hayfever so she has Piriton. Also just started coming out in a rash whenever she plays on grass, first year this has happened so looks like she's inherited my mum's bad hayfever gene 😡😡
