To go out

Had an appointment with the health visitor at 10 for my 11 months old 8-12 month check. Our original health visitor is on long term sick and after calling 6-7 times and being reassured that i’d get a call back from our new health visitor (I never did), we finally heard from her and booked this appointment. It’s now 11am and she’s not here and she didn’t leave me a mobile number to contact her on. I’ve left a message with the general number but they can take up to a day to response.

DS is getting increasingly antsy being stuck inside and we try to go out every day but it will be his nap time soon. WIBU to presume she’s a no show and go out or am I supposed to sit and wait? Is this normal?

I'd go out if I were you, you've given her an hour. Rebook appointment.

Go out, an hour late is unacceptable and rude

Thank you for your responses. I wouldn’t mind if she’d called to let me know as she has my number, but nothing. I’m going to go out, DS is teething and going out is the only way to distract him and stop him being a nightmare!

I'd give it 20 mins, mine always did this. Irritated the hell out of me.

I’m surprised they gave a time normally community teams give a time slot at most or am/pm.

Humv · 27/04/2018 11:13

Really Sirzy? We’ve always had a specific time and my old health visitor was usually pretty good with coming on time, it just seems to be since she’s been off sick that it’s gone to pot for us
