To despise after school play dates

On every level

My lovely clean home becomes a bomb site

My usually chilled relaxed well behaved children become hyper

The noise outbursts and destruction

Hate it

Am I alone

Nope! Hate them.

I try to suggest meet ups at the park on the weekend instead for these very reasons!

The very deepest levels of hell will involve an after school play date scenario.

We do the park. I can’t stand it otherwise. The destruction and noise. It’s like so many kids are feral animals these days.

AmazingPostVoices · 26/04/2018 17:49

Don’t do them then, they aren’t mandatory.

I needed to help out a friend.
We popped to park but chilly and no coats

The worst bit is seeing how my children change!

And seeing our home being so roughly handled. It makes me wince but I don’t want to stop them having fun. Although I did just raise my voice when one of lobbed a ball at the tv. I mean these children are 5.5 and 8. Surely behaviour should be a bit better.

It’s dreamy when my daughter has friends over. The play, they chat. It’s a joy
