Just to want things to fit

I could order 100 items of clothes and 100 pairs of shoes, all in the same size and they would all fit differently!

Why can’t it just be standard. Like really standard.
I totally get different material fits differently, but like for like clothes and shoes... just being able to order your SIZE and it be ok, that’s all I want!

It’s not just between shops, even within the same shop there appears to be a difference.

YANBU

I'm a size 6 in Next, an 8 in Dorothy Perkins and New Look and a 10 or 12 in Topshop.

Primark is a whole other layer of complexity.
From there, I've got one top that's a size 14 and another that's a size 6. I got several jumpers that are 8s, 10s and 12s. I've got two pairs of jeans that seem, ostensibly, exactly the same apart from one's black and one's blue- one pair is a size 10 and the other is a size 8.

That means that when I go to Primark, I have to take three versions of the same item in the changing rooms to get the best fit. With limits on the number of items you're allowed to take into the changing rooms at any one time, I can honestly spend half hour or forty minutes cunting about trying shit on.

I wish shops would just go on measurements, especially jeans. It'd make sense for retailers too. I don't go clothes shopping much because I find it all too complex and time-consuming to keep trying on multiple items. Plus, when I do have to try on three different versions of the same thing to get the size, half the time I look at myself wearing the item for so bloody long that I decide I don't actually like it and end up putting it back.

Sorry, massive rant but this really does do my head in
