Will they tell me to get lost?

I turned down a job offer last year. I was offered the job months after applying and interviewing, and I assumed I hadn’t got the job during that time as so much time passed. I moved on with my life, and my circumstances had changed when they offered me the position. The salary wasn’t high enough to justify me taking it and changing my life again (the salary wasn’t revealed until offer).

But In the months after I realised I passed up a good opportunity. I kept telling myself I couldn’t have taken it after moving and signing a lease etc (I moved after thinking I didn’t have the job), and it would have been hard to get to the job on the train in the location.

Now my circumstances have changed again and it would be much easier for me to work at the company, plus I know it’s something I would really want to do. I want to contact them and ask if I can reapply - but is there a big black X By my name now?

I don’t think there’s any harm in asking at all!! Shows you take work seriously and only commit when you can commit fully

No, approach them by all means, but they may not have a vacancy anymore.

I don't think they will have a bad opinion if you! It's unlikely they have taken your decision personally in any way. And if they liked you before they would probably be thrilled to have the opportunity to hire you again if there is an open position. Good luck!
