So, you get to the till, put your groceries on the moving belt, and leave a reasonable gap between your ones and the persons groceries placed in front of yours when there is no sign to place down (the lady in front of me, her kid was playing with it and then placed it in between ours just at her last two items - so I didn't want to make the child feel bad by taking the sign immediately)
So when it got to the end I then placed it behind my groceries - I had two items, a salad & a chicken breast - all of this time when there was basically a WHOLE belt to put groceries on for anyone behind. The man behind me had let the whole Belt be empty without putting his groceries down (because there was no sign in between) then the second I had put the sign behind mine he snatched it and made a show of sliding it to the VERY BACK of the belt where he then put his groceries??? How, how is this logical? Surely he could have just left a reasonable amount of space between the groceries and then put it behind his? I will never understand.
Or, is there some weird til etiquette I'm not aware of? I have no idea. Feel free to inform me of your till etiquette. But it made me laugh because it was so ridiculous
