To ask about others' experiences with a newer anti-depressant called Valdoxan? Got prescribed today to help deal with a depressive episode (that is partly reactive depression but still pretty tough). Just curious, meds and I have never been good friends really. But I would like to feel better soon.

I don't have any personal experience but just checking that they are going to monitor your liver function while you're on it.

Yes it was tested and apparently fine

I was on these a couple of years ago and they worked okay for me but eventually ended up back on citalopram. I think they initially tried me on it because I was having such awful dreams every night whilst suffering from depression that it felt like I was getting worse. I think Valdoxan is meant to help a bit with sleep.
Good luck, just give it time and keep in touch with your GP.
