Early pregnancy bleeding

Hi, I justt wanted some advice. I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago and went last week for a early scan as I have had a ectopic and miscarriage previously. The scan last week they couldn't see anything in uterus but thought they saw something on the left ovary. I went back yesterday for another scan and still couldn't see anything, I have another scan next Monday. But have been having light bleeding today , dark brown/ dark red blood and sickness and diarrhoea (sorry tmi). My last miscarriage was removed surgically. Does this sound like a miscarriage. Thanks

Sorry didn’t want to read and run.
I can’t tell you if it’s a miscarriage - but I can say that I had some bleeding early on in my pregnancy and obviously thought the worst, but luckily all was well. I hope it’s the same for you. Good luck x

I didn't want to read and run. I've been in your position several times and I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're going through this horrible limbo. But the truth is no-one on here can tell you if the pregnancy is viable. Could you contact the hospital where you had the scan done tomorrow and ask for their advice. Have you had blood tests done for HCG levels?

Wishing you all the best Flowers

Thanks for replying. I have had bloods done, and they said they are rising but not doubling. I phoned for advice today and they said just wait till my scan next week. Just hate the waiting game, deep down I know its bad news but guess I was just hoping someone else has had the same and it was a positive out come.

Hope it works out for you OP. I had minor bleeding/ brown blood etc for the first 18 weeks and everything was fine so I hope it’s the same for you x

If there is nothing in your uterus and your levels are rising, it may be another ectopic.
I'm so sorry if it is, I'll say a prayer for you that it isn't.
I've been there, wore the tshirt ffs!
On the other hand it could simply just be too early to see anything. How far along are you do you reckon?

I bled at 8-9w, due to have my baby in just a few days now.
It isn't always bad news, especially dark blood as it could be remnants from your last period. I would be aware of it becoming red or any pain.
Also, when I bled I was told to go straight in to gynae unit via a&e, they did bloods, examined my cervix and booked me in for a scan a couple of days later (first appointment they had available). I would phone the maternity unit at your local hospital again and see what they say if your scan isn't until next week.

Have you got any pain? The pain from my ectopic was unbearable... literally couldn't sit down

ShinyBadger · 24/04/2018 21:40

Hi Op, sorry to read your going through this.
How many weeks should you be now?
It all depends on how many weeks you think you should be as to what can be seen on an ultrasound scan. Do you know what your bloods are?
Unfortunately sometimes early pregnancy is a waiting game.

I've bleed with every pregnancy I've had 3 miscarages and 4 babies. Last pregnancy when I bled I just went to bed turned out to be a cyst on my ovary also when I went to hospital it was to early to see and just looked like an empty sac thought the worse but pregnancy went well and he's 4 now . Brown blood is old blood. Red could be implanting . Try not to worry easier said than done

Mybrainisfried · 24/04/2018 21:58

Posted to soon phone epas in the morning if your feeling any worse
