To Ask What Numbers You See Every Day?

A4710Rider · 24/04/2018 14:09

I've spotted a few other posters talk about this and since I suffer from the same thing I want to ask what numbers do you see all the time and why do you think you see them.

I see 252 daily, probably 4 or 5 times a day, I also see 666 quite often. 252 is an RAF number so I guess that's why I see it all of the time.

It's strange but I've convinced it's my dad watching over me as he was in the RAF as well.

I see 30 and 40 quite a lot.

InDubiousBattle · 24/04/2018 14:12

Rarayouare · 24/04/2018 14:15

1111 1221 and 69

  1. It’s my birth day but also a few other things have happened on that day (different months) like people dying, big news etc so maybe I’m more aware of it now
StereophonicallyChallenged · 24/04/2018 14:17

I see ALL the numbers. Every.bloody.day.

But then I am a bookkeeper Grin

Oh it's driving me bonkers! Never had this before but I see all kinds of combinations over and over (only posted a selection on the other thread). Got to the point where I've asked friends and they've all denied anything like this. Last night I decided to write them down as they happened and then take a long hard look at the end of the day, but then at 6.45 this morning when I saw my first 1111 I just couldn't be bothered thinking today I'd just ignore it. Then I saw the readings thread and just couldn't resist posting! Grin

11.11 on everything!

DrinkReprehensibly · 24/04/2018 14:24

I have never once thought this way! I work in finance and see a lot of numbers though.

snewname · 24/04/2018 14:27

What the hell are you all talking about?

A4710Rider · 24/04/2018 14:28

I think there is probably a rational explanation for it but it's weird. 252 is fairly new for me but 666 has been bugging me for what feels like years now.

What?!

iklboo · 24/04/2018 14:30

Where do you see them? You'll see numbers all day every day. It's only because you've associated meaning to them they stand out more to you. 666 would probably pop out to everyone.

SilverySurfer · 24/04/2018 14:36

I don't have this problem but I tend to steer away from giving numbers any significance these days.

In my teen years I read a book on numerology and it explained how to find 'your' number. It transpired I was number 8 which was about the worst number anyone could be. It took over my life - my parents despaired, whatever they asked me my response was 'there's no point, I'm a number 8.' I found out at a youngish age that I couldn't have children - 'well no surprise, I'm a number 8', etc. In the end my DDad burned the book and I eventually got over it.

Don't let numbers rule your life!

A4710Rider · 24/04/2018 14:38

Where do you see them

Everywhere but I'm guessing my brain is now tuned into 252 and when I see it sub consciously my brain highlights it and I look at it.

11.11 it really unsettled me at the start but i think I'm used to it now. Its very reassuring to hear other people with similar experiences, seems to be common enough.

Skinnyboneylittlepony · 24/04/2018 14:44

It’s because you’re subconsciously recognising and looking out for them, in the same way that I saw pregnant women everywhere when I was pregnant .

fessmess · 24/04/2018 14:47

You're all bonkers!

NorbertTheDragon · 24/04/2018 14:50

You see them in your head or, your brain picks them up over other numbers, like you are programmed to see them 'jump out' of , eg,from a list, an invoice, house numbers etc..anything random.. for me it's 11 or 11.11

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 24/04/2018 14:59

Oh my god I had no idea there were other people like me!!!

I always manage to look at the (digital) clock at precisely 9.11am/pm. I have done for years and it drives me bonkers!!
