Typos

AIBU to be annoyed at how much of a thread is taken up by people apologising for their typos? If the typo makes their post difficult to understand or changes the context then fine, but if it is obviously a typo and their post is still clear and understandable then do people think it doesn't need another post correcting it?!
Sometimes I'll read a thread and half of it will be typo apologies.

What is an "obvious typo" though? You may understand something, others may not.

Auto correct, or perhaps just fat fingers, sometimes makes a post look grammatically incorrect and then you get the people correcting the post rather than taking notice of the point of the post.

This forum doesn't allow editing. If it did, problem solved.

Some posters can be really sarky about typos and SPAG, and other posters are nervous of them, so try to avert criticism.

Some posters feel that SPAG are very important, and are embarrassed if they don't notice a mistake and correct it before hitting Post.

Most of us are somewhere between the two!

The problem is people are so quick to slam other posters for any typo or grammatical error that people feel they have to correct it just so people don't comment on it 100 times. That's way more annoying.
