Setting up a big screen for a Royal Wedding Street Party?

The neighbours are planning a street party for the Royal Wedding and, assuming it's dry, we want to rig up a big screen so everyone can watch the wedding together as well as the football later no doubt. I know a lot of people have those roll-down cinema screens and other types of big screens these days, so assuming we could find a neighbour that has something suitable and is willing to use it, would it be reasonable to think it could be rigged up in the street, and, if so, what would it need to be plugged into? Or maybe we could hire something relatively cheaply? We just need enough of a technical steer so we can post the idea to our street Whatsapp group without sounding too naive Grin.

The screen, nothing, but do you have a projector?

but do you have a projector?

Well I don't, but if one is needed then I guess the person who contributes the screen will also have a projector.

What would the set-up be? The wedding will be a live TV broadcast, so how does that get transmitted to the projector?

What date is the wedding? I know it’s in May

A projector won’t work in daylight.

A projector won’t work in daylight.

Good point. So it would need to be a large but portable LED screen then? Perhaps on an extension lead through someone's front window.

Is someone getting married then?

Also thinking you'd need some kind of licensing to broadcast in this way? I know pubs etc have to
