Hi All

looking for advice please , I'm 48 (just ) have a mirena coil had it summer 2017 ,must have had 2 or 3 before and they were fine no periods !But this one hasn't been great from the period pov , since about Nov - my periods have been , all over , not regular , then for a few days even just 24 hrs , then nothing , the last two months have lasted ages - currently have and it was 2 weeks long - stopped then back again now arrrh ! Its not heavy just long , often only something on wiping ( sorry tmi ) had a bit of cramping, did see nurse and she thinks it must be perimenopause but she wasn't everso helpful . My daughter is in her teens and we do seem to synch since she started her periods I have got mine back ! I know there's no medical evidences but it def happens. Anyway I am going to gp as fed up of them being so long , I have read that the pill can be given and I wondered what others experience of this was - does it make periods more regular and shorter ! and I'm hoping no other symptoms. Other than long periods I'm not doing too bad , bit anxious on occasion and foggy brain :) thanks all
