To let my baby sleep on her front

Keep putting my 6.5 month old DD to sleep and she keeps rolling onto her tummy. When I roll her back she wakes up. This has just happened for the third time and I've finally settled her, put her down and she's rolled again. Her face is turned to the side. Would you just leave her now? She can't roll front to back yet.

It’s safe once they are roll themselves, although you still should still put them down on their backs. Leave her as she is and don’t use any sort of sleep positioner as they are dangerous. My DD did exactly the same and clearly just prefers to sleep on her front. And besides there’s nothing you can do about it if she keeps flipping, not if either of you plan on getting any sleep that is!

Sorry typo, meant to say it’s once they are ROLLING themselves!

She’ll be fine - she’s obviously rolling herself so she’s okay on her front. All mine did that cute baby sleeping position, curled up on their fronts with their bum in the air!

Thanks thats just it, I haven't been to sleep yet and she will wake at least twice more tonight i just wanted reassurance as I would never want to risk anything for the sake of my sleep.

When I was born it was de rigeur to put babies on their fronts, but even in hospital I kept wriggling onto my back, much to the annoyance of the nurses but the dr said if I can move one way, I can move the other so no problem!

Mine DD slept on her front and would rock herself to sleep. Did until she was about 3.
