I’m new to Twitter and my profile says I have 2 followers but it’s only showing me one Why?

Maybe you yourself are the other one?

The other one will have unfollowed you or deleted their account but twitter won't have updated accordingly.

MrsSeverusSnape is probably right, sometimes people can like/between your posts and then unlike/between it and twitter isn't always quick to cancel the notifications, so I bet it's doing the same with the follower list...

Anyway welcome to twitter (I'm a twitter user too)...even if you don't want to tweet much it's great for reading /liking/retreating others tweets, and there is such a wide variety of people you can follow...if you come across trolls on others /your posts you can report them to twitter, but the beat way to deal with them is block them then they can no longer contact you
