Hasn't always been shite, the 1980's episodes are being shown on ITV3 during the afternoon and they are BRILLIANT MAN!!!

I watched about 3 mins of it earlier and it was indeed utter shite. Had to switch over

Sole speaks the truth however about the 80s episodes. They are entirely fabulous and I had forgotten how gorgeous and gkamourous many of the female characters were. Great fun

It was really good back in the 80s. Great characters & storylines, & well acted. I think it started to deteriorate when it went from 2 to 3 episodes a week, years ago. I stopped watching regularly around then. I used to pick it up for a few weeks every so often, but not recently as it's utter tripe these days sadly.

Agreed. I stopped watching EastEnders years ago because it was too depressing but loved coronation Street as it had a good mix of comedy & drama now it's all misery, violence & very little comedy.

YANBU. I stopped watching when Sarah-Lou and Todd had a miscarriage and he cheated on her with a bloke.

Coronation Street used to be brilliant, real gritty characters and loads of northern humour. Stopped watching it years ago when it got crap. Agree with those who said it was fab back in the day.

The EVA and toyah storyline is sooooooooo far fetched. She is clearly pregnant and no one has noticed!!!

Coronation Street definitely got shit, I haven't watched it in years.

EastEnders is also shit, but I carried on watching for a while. In the end I got so fed up with what they'd done to Stacy Slater, I just had to stop. (She went from being a real rounded person to a wet drip who did nothing but run around after Martin saying "our little family").

Tonight's two episodes were awful. Boring and pointless. The Eva story is beyond stupid. Where's Phelan. That's got so silly. They need some new story lines.

Yanbu. I haven't watched it in 6 years. I think all the soaps are rubbish though
