To ask about what happens in the menopause

I am 54 years young, relatively fit, gym 4 times a week, pilates and Zumba too, walk 5km 3/4 times a week but 5 stone overweight for my height.
My friends say I carry it well and dont believe I'm 5.5ft and 15.5 stone.
I used to be 10stone when I smoked like a chimney in my 30's dieted constantly and did step/spin 6 x weekly.
I started my periods at 12 and was a huge C cup.
now I.m a DD cup and at 54 still having periods although I had an abalation (didnt work) and tubes cut at 40.
I have hot flushes regularly, waking up in the middle of the night with the bed sheets soaking wet. I also sweat all the time. I wear shorts and T.Shirts in the middle of winter because I am always hot.
Blood tests show I'm not even peri-menopausal, yet the hot flushes are constant.
My biggest worry is once I hit menopause will my libedo go? I can accept I'm not a size 12 anymore and I'm starting to get wrinkles but to lose my sex drive would be hell.
Its the "best" thing me and my old man (57) do together , been together since 17 and 20 years old.
Please tell me what I have to look forward to - or not???
