Amazon Prime? my arse

Ordered something on Amazon Prime on Saturday morning about 9am.

Much to my surprise they offered same day delivery. I've never gone for this yet (not sure I've been offered it before) so clicked yes, just to see what happened. They said would be delivered between 6pm and 10pm Saturday.

No sign of it Saturday, so checked tracking on Sunday am. They said "sorry, it's late, delivery will be either today or tomorrow".

Here we are at 20:20 tomorrow. No delivery.

Balls to Amazon Prime Same Day Delivery I say.

If you contact them through the live chat function they should offer to extend your prime membership by a month.

We quite often get same day delivery now. I can see why you're annoyed though! Have you complained? They will usually give you some form of compensation like an extra month of membership

Definitely contact them. You'll get an extension on your prime membership. It's so irritating when that happens.

Most things are now 2+ days delivery for us. They used to be 1 day but rare for that now. However we use it for the tv.

I've dropped my prime membership - it used to be amazing but now nothing ever arrives when they say it will. Pointless paying for crap service.

Definitely complain on the chat, I have had several extra months added to my Prime because things didn't arrive when they were supposed to. Having said that, I often don't get the choice of next day anymore, it's often a couple of days or even more, which is annoying, especially considering I don't live in the middle of nowhere, I'm in Greater London.

I got mine by accident when I let the trial run over and was annoyed, but I wouldn't be without it now. I've never had a problem with it and think it's great value. Hope I haven't jinxed it now...

Also having the same problems with Amazon prime and have had several months added as a response. However last time dh emailed them to ask why their service has gotten so bad as they used to be really reliable. They just have him a free month and didn't bother to answer his question.

I've cancelled a couple of orders because I needed something next day, and it hadn't even been dispatched 48 hours later. I think (?) I feel sorry for the smaller businesses trying to fulfill Amazon Prime's despatch requirements without their massive warehousing system.

Complaining about things like this is how I've had prime free since last summer. Most things turn up next day or quick enough for me, but every time I get a late one I use webchat and get a free month! You don't mind so much if it's not perfect if it's free 😁
