To be pissed off at the NDN?

Between mine and the next door neighbours house is a large tunnel (for the horse and cart in the olden days).

NDN have a lovely very large back garden, but the kids play football up the alleyway and the noise echoes and the football bangs and there is general shouty kids voices every night that there's decent weather after school. This means I can't relax and watch tv or read because the alleyway wall is my front room. The NDN must also know the noise their kids make in the alleyway.

AIBU to think they could go and play in their garden where I wouldn't hear them at all?

Yanbu. Talk to your neighbours and explain the situation. I’m sure it’s noisy AF for them too so I’m surprised they haven’t already told them off for it.

Not unreasonable at all. Tell your neighbours the problem, I think sometimes parents get immune to noise and forget the impact on others.

Depends what time they play out till and what time you start watching tv

They probably haven't even thought about it, have a chat with them and say if their children could avoid hitting that particular wall it would be appreciated. Please don't send a note as another poster recently did with a similar noise issue.

Depends 4-6pm then YABU. It's annoying but nothing you can reasonably be annoyed at.

Later into thr evening YANBU.
