Had a walk to the shops this morning. The mercury had risen to a heady 9 degrees and the sun was shining weakly . Leaning firmly into the brisk wind coming off the moors I strode on.
I was dressed in chaps and a Barbour jacket with the hood up and a stout pair of boots. I live in a hill village up north and believe my clothing is suitable for the time of year.
