Brand of bolognese sauce you use?

I make my own as it's cheap easy and I've never found a shop bought one that tastes as good!

Passata

Always make my own. Healthier and cheaper!

Whatever’s on offer in the supermarket, or make my own sometimes

Swapped to homemade (onion, garlic, passata, herbs, tomato puree) once I realised how much sugar was added to jars. The key to the flavour is to simmer it. Sometimes add diced carrot or mushrooms etc

Always make it myself. I don't really like bought pasta sauces except pesto.

Tskkk what a rookie error OP- this is Mumsnet is where all food is made from scratch with only pure ingredients grown organically out of ones own arse!

Dolmio. I've tried making my own. My talents do not lie in the bolognese making department!

I used the Aldi one 59p. It is absolutely beautiful, I also add peppers.

I used to buy Dolmio, but just don't think it is as tasty nowadays.

Napolina - there's one with hidden veg!

Tin of chopped tomatoes and about half a pint of stock. We don’t like it too tomato-y.
Don’t really use jar sauces for mince.

Chopped tomatoes mushrooms onions and garlic here , would use dolmio on hols or if feeling lazy

I just put everything in fresh to simmer together, even better in the slow cooker

My DH does all the cooking now, but I used to buy the shops own tomato with mushroom version. This sort of thing. Then add meat and veg etc.

The Napolina one is great, and it has a Mumsnet sticker on it!
