To be slightly put out that the nurse thought my DH was my DAD!!!!

Dh was discharged from hospital yesterday but didn't want to wait around to collect his tablets so I went back in the afternoon to collect them.

The nurse gave me the tablets and asked " So how is your dad now?" I said My dad is fine but it was my husband who was a patient here! She looked really shocked and said "but how can that be, you look so young!" Sh then got embarressed and said, of course the patient looks young too!

DH looks fairly young for his age and is only 11 years older than me so I can only presume the nurse thought I was about 15!

dont worry about it, i get asked if i am dh mum all the time, errrrrrrrrr no. mind you thats mainly over the phone.

Snigger - I was once watching a rugby match at dh school and 15 yr olds were playing. A parent (dad) standing next to me asked me which one was 'mine' - I was 25 at the time!! He then did a double take (after looking at my face which must have been a picture) and mumbled something about being too young, went puce with embarrasment and scuttled off along the sideline!

they did that to me too. but my dads an old dad and i'm a young mum. hes 68 and im 18
