I'm not sure if IABU to take it further with the nursery or not. DS is 23 months and goes to nursery full time (8am-6pm Monday to Friday). Over the past 3-4 weeks he has fallen and bumped his head (always enough to create a big bump and twice a decent cut). Does this seem excessive for within a nursery setting. He has also had 9 days off over this period for holidays and easter weekend so hasn't actually been there full time.
I can count on one hand the number of times he has bumped his head at home since he started walking over a year ago - and only once had a bump like the nursery ones when he ran into a door corner at about 13 months.
Does the number of nursery head bumps seem excessive?
Or is it normal for a toddler to bump his head often and is he just lucky to have never bumped his head at home recently. We don't 'over-supervise' at home too much (except on the stairs which he is still learning to walk up/down), he is very active and runs around A LOT and there are plenty of door frame/table corners etc - he just seems to be aware of them and doesn't run/fall into them at home.
I'm not sure what is different at nursery and if i should raise it with his key worker/manager or is this a non-issue?
