WIBU to spend £150 on a horse fly trap?

Is this a reasonable amount or would it be a waste of money?

I need to do something - it's nearly that time of year again and I get bitten really badly every year and end up with scars. The buggers really hurt and draw blood, but only seem to go for me and not DH.

Apparently these 'Tabanus' Horsefly traps catch 95% of them, so would IBU to just buy one or two (need to cover at least 1.5 acres) in the hope that I might get a comfortable summer?

It's the normal price and the horsey people I know swear by them.

I also get bitten by horseflies but I moved away from horsey people :D

Nope, buy one ... horsefly bites are horrific, they last for months on me

Good to know that they work, in which case they're worth every penny! We don't have horses here (a couple of donkeys up the road) and surrounded by sheep, but masses of horseflies regardless. They are SO nasty!
