Posting for traffic.
My manager knows that I have been offered a different job (requirement, I didn't just tell them) and now my department has effectively 'wound down my job until I start my new one'.
I haven't received a formal offer yet, despite checks/references being completed end of March and me being told that there were no issues. Now my manager and area manager are (justifiably) asking me whether I've got a start date yet every day.
I have called the new employer several times; every time I call them they say that someone will contact me today/tomorrow, but the days are ticking by and still nothing. I called a manager from the department I'll be working for on Monday, and they said that they would have my new line manager call back hopefully that same day. It's now Wednesday and still nothing. aibu to call them again?
I don't want to come across as annoying, but then the situation at work is becoming increasingly awkward and I'm starting to get frustrated.
FYI. I have called directly once, called checking team twice (two weeks ago/last Week) and sent one email to HR (last week, no reply).
