To feel uncomfortable about using someone else's credit card

I left my purse at home today, and so asked my work colleagues if someone could lend me some cash for lunch. Of course these days nobody carries much cash, so one of them handed me her credit card. I was a bit taken aback and initially said "oh no, I can't take that - we'll have to go together". She replied "no, don't worry, just tap it". So I did in the end, but it felt weird and made me wonder whether the big taboo about borrowing someone's credit card is a thing of the past generally now that you don't have to sign something or enter a PIN. Anyone else experienced this, or am I just a luddite?

Yes , I would feel very uncomfortable about doing this but it seems to be something that a lot of people do now and not just for contactless payments .
At my dd’s dance school, the principal frequently gives students her card and pin in order to run down to the shops for various things .
