I think the thing is that a lot of us found out about him before he became so widely known. Now it's all about 'his tragic story' and not just the music. So people might be a bit underwhelmed by it andtheyaretwats but they forget that wonderful organic feeling of finding a new artist and just loving his work.

Saturday Sun is glorious. Cello Song makes me smile. Man in a shed makes me laugh. Northern Sky makes me think of my DS. Pink Moon destroys me. Parasite fits me at times. Horn makes me pause. Black eyed dog is hard.

So yes. YABU. I've loved Nick Drake for nearly 25yrs and it's just lush.

Just for balance in the thread, I have to say I don't like Nick Drake's music either. I'm not generally keen on whiney or whimsical singer-songwriters.
