I've put weight on since dd, now 2. Have 14yo ds and 11yo dd. Still look pregnant. But Why do people think it's ok to ask when baby is due?? Everytime I go into DH workplace someone different makes a comment about my 'baby due date' last visit being 'what number baby is this you're expecting then' just shut your mouths, cos my self esteem is pretty fucking low already Angry trying to lose weight, manage diabetes and your words aren't helping. Rant over!

Your DH's colleagues are twats.

DannyLaRuesBestFrock · 08/04/2018 10:42

And he needs to have a word with them.

Ha, I had this on a train home from work - a woman asked if I’d like a seat, and when was the baby due? I told her I was bloated, not pregnant. She the proceeded to extol the virtues of drinking apple cider vinegar in hot water....

Danny they are definitely twats Grin dh said hell have a word (but that word will.probably be 'duh' Grin) I will be telling the next person to comment on ol' baby belly that I actually have a tumour and watch them die a thousand deaths in front of me Grin
Hadjab I've cone to the realisation that people suck Grin guess I'm in a people hating mood today!

Don't go there. Do you have to?

gamerchick · 08/04/2018 11:59

It’s odd that a lot of people are saying the same thing? Are you just carrying weight in your tummy area? That can be a sign of other things rather than just plain baby weight.

Poppins2016 · 08/04/2018 12:08

I suppose the old MN classic, "did you mean to be so rude?", might come in handy here... how demoralising. Your DH's colleagues sound like a pack of bullies.

A couple of years ago I was minding my own business browsing in a shop with a friend, when a woman asked when I was due... Friend and I looked at her, open mouthed, and I simply said "I'm not". She didn't even apologise. I wish I'd thought of a much better response... If there's ever a next time I'll try to remember the above line!

Unfortunately Genderwitched I have to go there every week to do my shopping Sad Gamer chick it does just seem to be on my belly, still have stick arms and legs Confused

Poppins2016 I think I've just reached the point where I just walk away, desperately trying not to cry!! Even the woman in my local chemist commented when I bought some co-codamol 'you should only take paracetamol when you're pregnant' and I just walked out Sad

But that can be signs of other things though. It really might be worth going for a health mot and ask your gp have a prod to check all’s ok.
