Annoying parents

Need to have abit of a rant but also hope it makes some parents understand and others may have advice for me.
I'm a barber and my biggest problem is parents, we have hassle a lot with parents that don't look after their kids, parents that think we're a childcare service or parents that think we're miracle workers.

I fully understand some children don't like haircuts and some may be scared of haircuts like they are the dentist but when I've finally persuaded your child to sit in the seat to get a haircut without your help don't then say "now sit still or she'll cut your ear off" it doesn't help it scares them more and it's definitely not funny.

My next parents are the ones that let their kids run around the shop, we don't have a big shop, we have sharp tools and I don't have eyes in the back of my head (wish I did sometimes) please watch your DCs and make sure they understand it's dangerous someone could get hurt or another customer could end up with a bald patch if you run into us, it's happened before.

The last set of parents that annoy me are the ones that want the perfect haircut but the DC will not sit still, I can't blend a zero on the back & sides if your child does not sit still, it's not because I'm lazy or I don't like your child it's just I'd rather your child leave with a good hair cut than bald patches

I no it was a long post and I do apologise for that but hopefully some parents will see it and realise they can help or may have advice for me to make everyone happy,

See this is why I cut my own kids' hair. Not because I have any doubt that you would give them a lovely haircut, or because I think you're unreasonable, but it's only after years of daily interaction that I can spot the 5 second or so window when my DD2 will sit still and let me cut her fringe. I don't envy you at all.
