Posting for traffic Blush (have pity! Grin)

I’m watching the first episode of Dead Beautiful, a French series on Channel 4 catch-up.

Around fifty minutes into the episode. there’s a song playing in the background in a bar scene.

I tried making out the lyrics, but all I could hear was ‘je me suis fait casser la gueule pour une sombre histoire de’ and ‘à l’aéroport de Manhattan’. ‘À Manhattan’ is repeated quite a lot during the bits of the song that I could make out.

From what I could hear, a guy is singing with a guitar accompaniment, and it sounds quite Eighties and moody - a bit like The Cure or Ultravox (or Téléphone or maybe Indochine for French MNers Grin).

I’ve tried Googling the lyrics, but the only thing Google has come up with based on the Manhattan reference is something by Patrick Bruel (pretty sure it’s not him Grin).

Any ideas what the song could be please?

Thanks! :)

No idea but glad to see someone else is up at silly o'clock wondering random things. Grin

It says in the credits at the end of the show (time 1:36:30 if you want to check) that it's 'A Manhattan' by Mike Guermyet.
