Hi, I've been poorly since weekend with some sort of nasty bug; stomach cramps, nausea, actual vomiting, up in the night, killer headache and a cough. I've been in work my normal days this week so far, Tuesday til yesterday, but today I feel exhausted having been up in the night again. I was in the bath from 2am for half an hour trying to calm my symptoms and relax. I'm anaemic too so I'm really more tired than usual. Those at work know I've been ill. Wibu to call in sick? I'm not off sick a lot, although last time was in feb but i had got sent home then by management who said I was too poorly to be in.

Well you are sick, so Yanbu.

DuggeeHugs · 05/04/2018 08:05

Of course YANBU to call in sick and I hope you're feeling better soon Flowers

In the nicest possible way, when you're feeling better you might also want to consider why you force yourself and your germs into work when everyone else can see you shouldn't be there. You need to be kind to yourself!

Miloarmadillo2 · 05/04/2018 08:05

YABU to have gone in earlier in the week, presumably your colleagues will now be sick with it too. Stay in bed and get well soon.

You really should not have been to work if you are throwing up.

I very surprised a grown up is asking this question.

ilovesooty · 05/04/2018 08:47

You are sick by the sound if it and because you're sick you've had hardly any sleep.

Call in, rest and recover.

I think everyone's been fairly clear, but let's make it totally unambiguous.

DON'T GO INTO WORK IF YOU'RE VOMITING!
