Question about maintenance

Would i be right or wrong in thinking that if my ex has had a restructuring of a job role due to company take over and received a large (several thousand) pay out and been re employed with a smallish pay cut which he had said wouldn't affect cms payments anyway. That this payment would be included in his salary stated on his p60 and would affect at least the next year's payments?

Anyone?
The cms aren't taking calls due to exceptional circumstances??

I think it depends if it's a taxable lump sum or not.

If it was a redundancy payment of several thousand, then it is unlikely to be taxable and so would not be on his P60. (He should have had a P45 when his old job ended which wouldn't show the redundancy payment, and then his P60 should show what he has been paid in this employment?)
