To be irritated by Dido

I don't have anything agains dido in general but I am currently listening to it at top volume coming through from my neighbour. It's white flag if that makes a difference.

Dido is so depressing. Her music reminds me of when I was in my late 20s and in the shittiest relationship with a guy who, for my birthday, gave me a ( wait for it -->) DIDO CD! YAY!!! .
I can't listen to Dido at all... nearly 20 years later.

When my ex left, he took all the CDs with him. A few months later he showed up with a carrier bag saying 'these are your ones.' There were about 15 out of hundreds and they were the ones that he'd decided wouldn't look hipster enough in his cd tower - Abba Gold, the Les Mis soundtrack, Moby, and, yes, Dido. So Dido in my mind is eternally categorised as an embarrassment to one's shelf. Pity, I liked her once, and this is clearly not her fault
