To ask your favourite 80s TV show?

The favourite 80s song thread has made me nostalgic. My favourite 80s TV serial was Robin of Sherwood. Great Saturday tea time viewing.

So many good ones but my absolute favourite was Monkey.

Ooh so many , Moonlighting, Fame , Magnum, Dynasty ,Dallas.

Buck Rogers.

Loved Boon. Had a crush on Rocky (Neil Morissey).

Other favourites include Neighbours which was huge then.

And then all the Sunday night dramas I particularly liked Howards way and Tenko.

I loved The Adventure Game. ‘Gronda Gronda’.

Kenny Everetts show. Still love it now.

I had loads. As a kid Battle Of The Planets and Fame, The A Team, Manimal and Battlestar Gallatica.

As I got older, it was Blackadder, French & Saunders and would TOTP count?

Also Metal Mickey and Knight Rider.

I do think the quality of tv was better because we had so few channels they had to put decent stuff on and the whole family would watch together .

The Tube with Jools Holland and Paula Yates. Must see TV to be discussed at school the next morning.

Audiences for individual programmes were huge by today’s standards, weren’t they?

Dynasty for me - I'm watching the repeats that are showing now, and decided that if I had a son he would be called Adam, after one of the characters as I loved the name, even at 16 years old (and I did, too).

I remember Barriers, wowfudge - I had a total crush on Benedict Taylor!

Yep, 4 channels and we had to get up and physically turn the tv channels over. I remember when Channel 4 was launched and the excitement of Brookside. We rented our wooden boxed tv from Rumbelows for years until we bought a colour one in the late eighties!
