Senior manager in my dept at work, was my line manager but is now not thank god (work in children’s services so work with a lot of families with kids with SEN) stated to me (who also has a son who was diagnosed with Aspergers several years ago and she is aware of this) that she doesn’t actually believe that ASD exists.

I mean WTAF? I was so stunned I didn’t know what to say

Who do they work with now? How scary. I've some accross people in mental health services that don't believe in schizophrenia before. They thought prayer will remove their demons.

Yeah we also have several people who verge on rascist and homophobic too although we are supposed to be totally non judgemental of anyone.

We have a worker who (in the office) refers to the traveling community as “Pikeys” I think I might start challenging people more actually
