To clean the house with dog shampoo?!

After a lazy morning i have set aside the afternoon to clean the house before settling in with a takeaway and a movie tonight.

Just realised I don't have any cleaner. I usually use flash diluted in water as I can't use spray cleaners as they trigger my asthma so would IBU to use dog shampoo diluted in water to wipe down the kitchen and bathroom.

I would just go to the shop but I woukd need to shower and try and make my hair presentable and also put clothes on and I can't be bothered.

Or anything else I might have around instead of dog shampoo 😁😁😁

A very little Fairy liquid in warm water. Not shampoo, too much lather.

Have you got any washing up liquid? That would work just as well as flash.

ApproachingATunnel · 31/03/2018 14:22

Soapy water?

Pomeranio9834 · 31/03/2018 14:26

I thought the fairy liquid might be too bubbly but I guess not... off to clean and mumsnet every 5 minutes

Washing up liquid for sure. I use it for everything. Nice quiet in hot soapy water. With a squirt of bleach in for some jobs. Lovely.

Squirt not quiet Hmm

Back already 😁 what about for mopping the floors... fairy liquid as well or will that be slippery?

Yes, Fairy for floors as well in hot water but only a little is needed or yes, it would be slippery and too soapy.

PeanutButterSquash · 31/03/2018 15:12

I measure out half a tea spoon to an entire bucket of hot water, and make sure the mop is wrung out well. Works a treat! Smile
