Not sure how to add diagram so no flaming!!
I live 2 doors down from a care home. Parking in general is a nightmare, permits seasonally but still a free for all.
Double yellow lines down the left (one way St) and parking section down the right - no individual spaces just lined off full all along. Tried to go to work today and non emergency ambulance parked on the double yellows outside the home. Spaces available to park on the right I must add but none so I could get through - he had parked parallel to the veg man! . Driver got out - saw me and carried on assembling the ramp out the back, a small van behind me reversed and went down the wrong way of the one way - have done myself when blue light vehicle at the home - started to myself but a large car drove up so I had to go forward (him violently gesticulating at me to htfu) so I drove up to the ambulance and waited. Driver had in the meanwhile went in with 1 large chemist packet, came out and proceeded to carry a zimmer down the ramp for delivery!! Not a resident in sight!! I squeezed my 2 day old car through the gap whilst sweating - and got past, car behind still waving but at the driver who packed up the ramp and parked up on the right!!
Intend to email the home later to request deliveries to be made more bloody appropriately in future!! Am thinking the driver should get a new job if he can't carry a zimmer from the other side of a road without needing door to door + ramp!!
