I think this programme will really challenge and educate people about how autism presents in women and how 'normal' we may appear.

A lot of people still think autism = rainman, but that really isn't the case. We are intelligent people with brains that are wired to process sensory information differently, which causes us huge challenges in this fast paced, loud, bright world.

The programme "Are you Autistic?" is on Channel 4 at 10pm tonight, please watch it if you can.

YANBU but I do know there are some people that don't want to understand as illustrated by at least 3 posters I've encountered on here this week 😢

Fingers crossed that autism awareness can get better with the help of programmes like these!

I will be watching. My Dad has aspergers, I'm 99.999% certain my female dc does but we got no where with diagnoses.
Tbh I feel I probably am too.
