Work have lost personal documents that I provided and want me to replace them.

I had to supply my tax returns from my old business to prove my employment history. They were all provided at the start of employment a year ago but work are asking me to supply them again as they have no record of the ones that I gave them on my file.

I could simply print more off but Surely they should be taking this more seriously considering the amount of information provided on the documents that I gave them?

Am I overreacting? What should I do?

Not a lot you can do really if they don't have them. What do you want to do?

ask about their data protection policies and how they are keeping your personal data safe. if they lose this, what else are they losing?
