Why. Just why are they so shit!

I normally receive £483 per month and was due to attend a meeting today. The job centres computer systems were down and so I could not attend and they need my further evidence by the 3rd of April.

The lady on the phone said that My payment for this month has already gone through. I have just checked my online banking and it says I was payed £25 on the 21st of March! £25!

So either they have massively cocked you as my circumstances haven't changed or they have randomly payed me £25 that I should have and are still going to pay me my normal £483 by the 28th.

URGH! Anyone had any experience with this or advice. Majorly stressed out is an understatement. That's the money I live on.

You may find the 25 is a cold weather payment I know some people on UC get it

Raven88 · 26/03/2018 18:20

Do you normally get your benefits on a Wednesday

GreasyHairDoNotCare · 26/03/2018 18:21

I normally get them on the 28th of each month.

I really hope it's a cold weather payment I didn't know they existed.

kimlo · 26/03/2018 18:23

the cold weather payment is £25 so it's more likely to be that.

dancingthroughthedark · 26/03/2018 18:24

Just google cold weather payments you can see the criteria and if your postcode got one I think on my bank statement it did say CWP in the reference

GreasyHairDoNotCare · 26/03/2018 18:26

The reference on my back statements is

National insurance number DWP UC

You get nearly £500 a month and you are moaning!! If it's that much of a pain don't claim it! Yeah, like that's going to happen

Flomy · 26/03/2018 18:35

I reckon its the c.w payment.

GertrudeCB · 26/03/2018 18:35

Oh do fuck off @ whatshallidonowpeople .

strawberrysparkle · 26/03/2018 18:36

Leave OP alone, if she gets £500 in help then it's obviously because she needs it. Leave her be.

jaseyraex · 26/03/2018 18:37

Whatshallidonowpeople OP has no idea if they've massively underpaid her, given her a payment she's not meant to get so will have to pay back, or given her a cold weather payment. It's hardly moaning Hmm

Could you phone them again tomorrow and ask them to clarify what the payment was for? Seems likely to be a cold weather payment but I thought you'd be informed of that kind of thing.

Creambun2 · 26/03/2018 18:39

@Whatshallidonowpeople

accidentally strayed in from daily mail comments section have you?

x2boys · 26/03/2018 18:43

We get more than £500.whatshall /month and ds2 DLA we are positively rolling in it Hmm

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/03/2018 18:44

Empathy bypass much whatshallidonowpeople?
People don't get Universal Credit unless they need it (and sadly many don't get it when they most need it).
OP, hopefully it's the cold weather payment. This is hassle and stress you don't need, I'm sure. The system sucks.

Babyroobs · 26/03/2018 18:53

It will be a cold weather payment, a lot of people on benefits are getting them this week.

darkriver198868 · 26/03/2018 18:58

Hi OP,
It sounds like your CWP. :) I am sure that you will get your normal payment on Wednesday.
