a pair of £80 earrings that i am never going to wear. I lost my wedding ring a while ago while i was decorating and he said that he would buy me a new one (ok i know its not the same as the original one but at least it will 'look' like im married if i've got a ring on my finger!!) Don't get me wrong, the earrings are lovely. But I will probably never wear them. We don't even go out that often so i probably won't wear them then even. I would have much preferred him get me a new ring like he said he would. I know I am an ungrateful cow. Sorry rant over.

No not at all. Can't you buy one yourself, I know its not the same. Can't you tell him you want to swap earings (they are lovely, dear DH blaj blah blah....but...) and go back to shop add a little more of your own money and buy a ring?

AnAngelWithin · 09/05/2007 10:15

they dont accept them back though because they are for pierced ears.

Angel, you dh obviously thinks you are classy enough to wear them, I'd take such lovely earrings as a compliment - so you prob wont get as much wear out of them as a replacement wedding ring. Wear and enjoy them - you're worth it!

IcingOnTheCake · 09/05/2007 11:15

Oh they are lovely, i would wear them anyway whether it was a night out or not. I wear my expensive earing everyday and i take pleasure in that because they are the only expensive earings i have ever been bought. Go on, wear em!!

MrMariella · 09/05/2007 11:20

They are v. elegant, and NEED wearing!!

WEAR THEM!! WEAR THEM!! WEAR THEM!!...etc..

powder28 · 09/05/2007 11:22

My dh used to buy me stuff I didnt want. He knows better now....

vimfuego · 09/05/2007 11:24

Ask him to take you out to a posh event so you'll have a chance to wear them!

BibiThree · 09/05/2007 11:26

Just wear them and feel lovely in them. Don't save them for special occasions, or going out, pop them in and flick your hair back a lot so people catcha glimpse.

Could your dh be trying to put you off the scent so he can get the ring for your birthday?
