I’ve just recited the words of this ancient edam advert to my husband, & he looked for it online to see the old ad (like we did with the wine gums guy in the kilt) but there’s no trace of it on the internet & now I’m wondering if I’m the only one to remember it. It went something like this:
“I like a bit of edam on a little bit of toast
When I eat my salad, it’s edam I like most
When I'm feeling hungry, I whack it on some bread
It’s cocktails for the upper class
With edam on the (med?)
Edam appeals with fruit, and chateau sauvignon.....”
Then I can't remember the final line - aaaarrrrrggghhhh!
Tell me that I’m not mad (and that you know the final line)
