Sony - holiday after exams

My DD is about to sit her GCSEs an they will finish in mid june. I am thinking of taking her away for a few days when she has finished as she has worked so hard. She will not be missing any school as once finished thats it no more school. We have the full timetable of exams so we know when they all are.
If I book now it will be cheaper but I am worrying that an exam date might change and prevent us from going. So my AIBU is whether I would be ok to book now or does anyone have experience of Gcse Exam dates changing this close to them?

I don't think exam dates would change. That would surely be difficult and complicated for exams boards to do as they have to make sure that they don't clash with other subject and why would it be necessary? I'm not a teacher though so could be wrong.

I think you'll be fine to book now. Changing the exam dates means changing them across the country which is massively unlikely to happen at the last minute!

I would think it highly unlikely for the dates to change. I think they'd have to change it for the whole country to stop cheating no?

I don't think the dates for written exams will change, but make sure you have taken into account non-timetabled exams like language orals, practicals etc - I think those are scheduled by individual schools.

Also you may want to check you don't clash with 6th form taster days or prom.

Exam dates will not change ( I have done the same thing and checked with the school before I booked ) If they have their individual time table it should have everything on, language speaking ones as well. The last GCSE nationwide is the 22nd June, mine finishes on the 15th though due to what she has taken.

Yes as others say, exam dates will not change. Do check with school for prom and even leavers days which some schools have after or towards the end of exams.

A holiday at end of June/start of July sounds great - a mate of DDs went last year after exams, they said it was great as really quiet (maybe cheaper too)

Exams won't change. Look out for book return day, 6th form induction, prom etc.
