Ok so here goes ( I’m a teacher and I’m a single mum to an 11 yr old DS)
For the last two days we have both been struggling with a shivery achy coughy nausea type thing
I’ve limped through two days of teaching Rexeption and he’s limped through two days of Sats practise
Anyway I think tommorw is just a step too far.
So here’s the options -

I call in sick and let my team down ( already two staff out tomorrow )

I send him in and hope he feels better

I take my lovely dad up his offer driving two hours at stupid o clock in the morning to babysit so I can go to work

What should I do ?

Stay home.... don't risk passing whatever it is on to the children

Get an early night and see how you feel in the morning.

If you have been suffering with nausea and have been sick then you shouldn't be in work anyway if you work in a school. Hope you are both feeling better soon x

Well that’s fairly unanimous. Thank you
To clarify neither of us have actually vomited Just a gripey unsettled tummy ( so it’s less cut and dry )

I'd still take the day off Flowers

I imagine whatever she has is already passed on if infectious because she’s been at work for 2 days. I say have a day off!! Why put yourself through it
