To think there's nothing wrong with being lazy.

It's just one of those character traits, like being a morning person or an evening person, or not liking broccoli, or being good at maths.

Who will join me - I'm lazy and I'm proud.

bran · 08/05/2007 20:00

That's the spirit littlelapin - I nearly wasn't bothered enough to start this thread.

There is no excuse for not liking broccoli. Anyone who says they don't has never really tried it.

gemmiegoatlegs · 08/05/2007 20:08

is not likin broccoli a character trait?

rabbleraiser · 08/05/2007 20:12

Yes, you're a broccoloid or you're not. Friendships can hinge on the issue.

My father (in a fury), once told me that I was 'pathologically idle.' I laughed my socks off.

Well, it was easier than taking them off myself.

penmack · 08/05/2007 20:15

rabbleraiser lol at pathologically lazy i might add that discription to my cv (if i can be bothered)

rabbleraiser · 08/05/2007 20:28

Don't do it, Penmac. CVs are for other people.

penmack · 08/05/2007 20:29

oh i never actually get round to sending any out, i cant be arsed

edam · 08/05/2007 20:32

Hey, I'd join if it wasn't too much effort for a lazy arse like me.

NoodleStroodle · 08/05/2007 20:33

This thread is far too acti

MrsDiorKeanuReeves · 08/05/2007 20:40

Rabble - you are really making me laugh today...

bran · 08/05/2007 20:42

I'm trying to make it fashionable, I should have been born into a time where ladies lolled around all day, complaining of ennui and perhaps doing a little cross-stich.

I'm not sure when that time actually was because I can't be bothered to do any historical research, but I'm pretty sure they had big skirts and it was probably before the Victorians. (The Victorians were annoyingly enthusiastic and active, like a whole society made up of Brown Owls and scout leaders.)

cross stitch?
can't I just lie and doze..?

bran · 08/05/2007 20:43

(ahem, they did cross-stitch, but were too lazy to add the extra 't')

OP posts:
NoodleStroodle · 08/05/2007 20:44

I think you will find it was like cross-stitch but without the bother of the thread

bran · 08/05/2007 20:48

I want to have a put down for when people imply that not being lazy is better than being lazy, but I can't think how to phrase it. "I just can't be arsed" doesn't seem snappy enough.

Perhaps I could say something like "well that seems a little too tiresomely active for me". Or "Is this need to always be doing something a symptom of a deeper unhappiness or have you just had too much sugar/caffeine today?". Neither of those are very subtle though.

Bran - what about 'Well, you can be an overactive twunt if you like - I can't be arsed'

?

Boco · 08/05/2007 20:51

Just stare, open mouthed, unblinking. they'll get the messa.....

MrsDiorKeanuReeves · 08/05/2007 20:52

Boco -

Especially good with a dribble of saliva just hanging!

NoodleStroodle · 08/05/2007 20:54

Are you supposed to have your eyes open? Sounds like a bit of bother.

How often do you do:

a) school run in PJs?
b) woken up from nap by school calling to ask if you are picking up your children that afternoon?

Boco · 08/05/2007 20:56

..and a low rumble of a snore.

This thread is making me tired.

penmack · 08/05/2007 20:56
