Moving out clean booked with Fantastic Services for 1500 today. Cleaners still haven’t turned up. Keep being given later and later ETA. Was clear when I booked it that timing was tight as handing over keys to house. Have had to rearrange everything. Apparently this morning’s client was very demanding so they were late - aka his needs were more important than mine. No furniture (or mugs or kettle 😱) in the house. So I’m sitting on the floor, writing on all the review sites until they turn up. AIBU?

Very poor, they should honour your arrangement.

If client takes a long time, they should book again on another day to complete the job.

I think you need to do another one every 10 minutes. At least it will fill 60 seconds of your wasted time in.

You've reminded me of when we moved into our last house, a lovely 7 bed victorian semi, really excited that we'd finally got it. Pulled up, went in, and the owner was still there, drunk, with her drunken mates, having a cleaning party.

I say cleaning in the loosest sense. In daylight I lightly ran my fingernail across a kitchen unit door and raised stiff, hard, greasy grime. Inside the oven we found dog hairs. Yuk.

Just had an update. They’re ‘stuck in traffic’ and won’t be here till 1930. Checked traffic - no hold ups anywhere near us!

At least they claim that they are still coming. I was wondering if they would cancel this late in the day.

When do you have to hand over the keys?

Keys first thing tomorrow. Absolutely have to leave by 8 to pick my son up. Still not here!

I have just come across this and wanted to say that we used them on the 9th March and had EXACTLY the same bullshit! 4 hours late and blamed it on the previous job being a mess. Total pisstake!
